Two Powerful Life Lessons from a Wise Man: Let Go of Pain and Grow Stronger

Two Life lessons by wise man.

1) Learn to let go of pain.
“A wise man sat in the audience and cracked a joke.
Every body laughs like crazy.
After a moment he cracked the same joke again. This time less people laughed. He cracked the same joke again and again. Where there is no laughter in the crowd.
He smiled and said:
You can’t laugh at the same joke again and again, but why do you keep crying over the same thing over and over again?”

2) THE TASTE OF PAIN

Once an unhappy man came to the wise man and told him that he had a very sad life and asked for a solution.
The wise man instructed the unhappy man to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and then to drink it.
“How does it taste?” – the wise man asked.
“Terrible.” – spat the unhappy man.
The wise man chuckled and then asked the unhappy man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake. The two walked in silence to the nearby lake and when the unhappy man swirled his handful of salt into the lake.
The wise man said, “Now drink from the lake.”
As the water dripped down the unhappy man’s chin, the wise man asked, “How does it taste?”
“Good!” – remarked the unhappy man.
“Do you taste the salt?” – asked the wise man.
“No.” – said the unhappy man.
The wise man sat beside this unhappy man, took his hands, and said, “The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less. The amount of pain in life remains the same, exactly the same. But the amount we taste the ‘pain’ depends on the container we put it into. So when you are in pain, the only thing you can do is to enlarge your sense of things. Stop being a glass. Become a lake.”

MORAL : LEARN TO LET GO OF PAIN.
