The rain was pouring heavily outside School.

As soon as the final bell rang, children rushed toward the school gate, opening their colorful umbrellas and hurrying home before the rain became even stronger.

The schoolyard quickly filled with the sound of raindrops, splashing shoes, and children calling out to their friends.

Near the school gate, however, a little boy named Rohan stood alone.

He had forgotten to bring his umbrella that morning.

He looked at the children leaving one after another and wished he had something to protect himself from the heavy rain.

The rain grew heavier, and Rohan didn’t know what to do.

He stood under a small shade, watching everyone walk past him.

He hoped that someone might notice him and offer some help, but everyone seemed to be in a hurry to get home.

Just then, Samar noticed Rohan standing near the gate.

He looked at Rohan and then at his own tiny umbrella. It was barely big enough for one person.

For a moment, Samar hesitated, wondering if the little umbrella could possibly protect both of them from the rain.

But then he smiled and walked back toward Rohan.

He held out his umbrella and kindly said, “Come on… we’ll somehow fit under it together.”

Rohan looked at Samar with surprise. He had not expected anyone to stop for him.

Rohan smiled and joined him under the tiny umbrella.

The umbrella was too small, so both boys had to walk very close together.

Their shoulders and shoes soon became wet, but they kept walking side by side, trying their best to stay under the little umbrella.

Suddenly, a strong wind blew the umbrella sideways.

Samar tried to hold it tightly while Rohan helped him.

Instead of getting upset, both boys burst out laughing at their funny situation.

For a moment, they forgot all about the rain.

By the time they reached home, they were completely soaked.

Their clothes were wet, their shoes were muddy, and water dripped from their hair.

But neither of them cared. They had spent the whole journey laughing, talking, and smiling together.

That day, Samar realized that you don’t need to have a lot to help someone.

Sometimes, sharing the little you have is enough to make someone’s difficult day better.

His tiny umbrella had not kept both boys completely dry, but it had given Rohan something much more important—a feeling that he was not alone.
