As water crisis had increased in many places of US, the Environment Protection Agency of us used to go from house to house to collect water samples. In this, she saw her mother who was using a basic test strip to test the water.

Seeing this, Gitanjali tells that she was quite surprised because she did not think this was the right way at all. After Seeing the condition, she got an idea to make a device , With the help of which the amount of lead in water can be easily checked. Gitanjali contacted the researcher of 3M’s manufacturing company and requested to start her research with their help.3M is known for manufacturing consumer electronic components.

3M’s researcher wholeheartedly welcomed Gitanjali and fully supported the idea of ​​her. Finally Gitanjali’s Hidden Talent Journey started from here and lunched the device TETHYS.

At 16 years old, Gitanjali Rao has invented a device to detect lead in water, developed a digital solution to combat cyberbullying, and started a movement to help other kids realize their full potential.
