In a peaceful forest lived a clever fox and a kind-hearted deer. Secretly, the fox wanted to eat the deer but could never catch it. One day, the fox pretended to cry and sadly said, “I have no friends… I feel so alone that I want to end my life.” Moved by compassion, the deer comforted the fox and said, “Don’t lose hope. From today, I will be your friend.” The fox smiled inside—its deceitful plan had worked.
Soon, the fox and the deer began spending time together. But the deer’s old friend, the crow, became worried after seeing the fox. “Who is this?” the crow asked. “My new friend,” the deer replied happily. The crow warned, “Be careful—not everyone deserves your trust.” Smiling cleverly, the fox said, “Friendship helps us know each other.” But the crow sensed something was wrong and refused to trust the fox.

One day, the fox took the deer to a field where there was plenty of food. They began going there every day. Seeing his crops being damaged, the farmer set a trap one day. The deer got caught in it.
The fox’s plan succeeded. It hid nearby, waiting for the deer to die so it could eat it.
When the crow did not see the deer, it became worried and went looking for it. While flying, it found the deer trapped in the field.

The crow encouraged the deer, saying, “Don’t worry. Pretend to be dead. When I caw, you start running.”
After some time, the farmer came. Thinking the deer was dead, he opened the trap. At that very moment, the crow cawed loudly. Hearing the sound, the deer jumped up and ran away.
The farmer saw this and threw his stick at the deer, but it escaped. The fox, which was hiding nearby, also tried to run.
At that moment, the farmer’s stick struck the fox on the head, and it died on the spot.

In the end, the deer and the crow rejoiced.
